Welcome!

Purpose:

The ADHA supports and represents stand alone day hospitals (and small overnight private hospitals under 100 licensed beds) within the Australian health care environment by supporting their business and their employees, facilitating communication between members and actively representing (ie, on national and state committees) and lobbying on behalf of members.  Industry memberships also benefit the Association and members.

Benefits of membership include:

annual conference, benchmarking, promotional material, tool kits (ie, Health Fund Negotiations), networking and support and access to the discounted pharmaceuticals and consumables agreement with Brand’s Surgical Supply and their partners, Insurance products with Mediprotect and medical gases with Air Liquide Healthcare.

Register before the early bird date of 6th July and save $75 each for members and $100 each for non-members on the full registration fee.  Registration fees remain unchanged from last year for members.

Private Hospitals Association Queensland (PHAQ) 2012 Conferences

PHAQ are again running their 2 Conferences on consecutive days - Monday 18th June and Tuesday 19th June 2012 - at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

  • 9th Innovative Practice in the Private Sector Conference - Monday, 18th June 2012.
  • 5th Quality and Safety in Action Conference - Tuesday, 19th June 2012.

Quarterly Newsletter

The Autumn (quarterly) Member Newsletter (Edition 16, March 2012) has been released and was distributed electronically to Members on 19 March.  The Status focus in this edition is SA and the Industry focus is Oral/Facial & Maxillofacial.

The next quarterly newsletter (Winter, Edition 17) is due for distribution on 25 June with the deadline for articles being 15 June.

ADHA Google Groups for Members

Members can join any or all of the following Google Groups. 

  • Management Google Group
  • Ophthalmology Google Group
  • Gastroenterology Google Group
  • Women's Health / IVF Google Group

These are a very simple and user friendly method of raising questions, posting answers, responses and sharing advice with day hospital colleagues on a range of issues in a quick and easy way, e.g., product selection, prices, recommendations on external companies, procedures, processes and equipment.  A 4th Google Group for Women's Health/IVF is planned shortly.  These are managed by the ADHA Secretariat.
